Starting out as a jungle and drum ‘n’ bass dj in the late 90’ties, Nills spend the following years digging up the trails and clues left here and there between the complex drum patterns and heavy basslines of the records he was playing. Digging ever further in to the origins and parallel paths of the many bass heavy genres growing out of London, Detroit, Berlin and Kingston he has developed his own mix of the ingredients he picked up along the way: A flexible potted stew where dubby drums collide with 303’s, BPMs move from 50 to 180, and melodic synth-memories of an eighties childhood leaves something for for both the headphones and the club.
